This is Chance. He was hit by a car and left with a fractured pelvis and tail injury. He also has IVDD, a spinal condition that causes chronic pain and mobility issues. When i was a kid i watched a cartoon named Captain Planet, where all the villains felt like carton characters. It usually had an ecological aesop that one could say was way too idealistic or naive at the time. 40 years later... it happened that all these carton villains ended existing irl.
