There, in the swirl of his golden echoes, Brother Vance lifted his voice and began his song: "Some hope for—" His own voice answered him from behind. "The future," it continued. - Duress and Egress, Vance: Passeri. For @ishtarillustrated.bsky.social volume 2. 💛 #IshtarIllustratedvol2

My piece for @ishtarillustrated.bsky.social volume 2! I know I said this for my last piece for Season of Dawn, but I am also mentally still in Season of Arrivals. Trials and Tribulations - |In|spire (which didn't even come out in Arrivals) #destiny2 #destiny2art #ishtarillustratedvol2

Drawing set on Mercury from Destiny 2. It has three panels, from left to right, showing; the Lighthouse, Brother Vance, and tip of the Infinite Forest gate. There's a Pyramid going through all three panels ignoring the borders. Similarly, the Sun in the background also goes through all three panels. There's text from the lore tab over the middle section of the Pyramid: "Vance |the implement| could hear |their inspired voices| weeping, not with tears, but in the |voracious| low |ceremonial| hum he had come to associate with death. He closed his eyes |and saw what was to come|. This day had many names. None would suffice."

"Annihilation of your kind was never the goal. But filling you with the right kind of ideological purpose, the kind that serves the finality of shape—well, that's the point of corrupting a beating heart, is it not?" #Destiny2Art #IshtarIllustratedvol2 @ishtarillustrated.bsky.social

an illustration of the collective obligation lore entry, titled by: "What The Witness gave me, I give to you. May it serve you in death, or in finality. It cannot be both." —Rhulk, disciple of the Witness. it includes the witness shaping the black heart into the weapon's sights, Darkness motifs, and Rhulk tampering with a ghost's Light.

"But XIVU ARATH said, sister, I am already sharp, look, my sword cuts into another space. And she cut her way between moons through green fire and joyous screams." The Books of Sorrow — Verse 3:1 — an incision For #IshtarIllustratedvol2 by @ishtarillustrated.bsky.social ✨ #Destiny2Art

An illustration of Xivu Arath, the Hive God of War from the game Destiny 2. She is a skeletal, chitinous humanoid being with three glowing green eyes, and she is wielding a Hive sword, which is similarly chitinous. Her head is wreathed in both a yellow-green glow and a stylized iridescent brushstroke halo. She wears a long, flowing cloak that wraps around her and she sits upon a shattered rock floating in a violet space. Cascading from where her cloak would drape down her back, a black-and-green gash in space reveals an alternate un-space with its own strange stars. Flanking her are two columns of moons that are more shattered the lower they are in the composition.

My entry for @ishtarillustrated.bsky.social's zine: Clovis Bray's Logbook Entry 10 #IshtarIllustratedVol2 #Destiny2 #Destiny2Art

I was wrong.
Their brains concluded that all of their internal processes failed. No
digestion, no breath, no heartbeat, no sense of interoceptive health...
all signs of death.

These must logically contribute to the dissociative rejection of their
physical forms—the Cotard delusion. When it would set in, they believed
their bodies to be an alien or necrotic form that must be cut away. And
if you believe that you are sewn into a corpse, it is only natural to
go mad with fear. My exos are dying of an extreme kind of bodily dysphoria.

Mr. Miller has also passed. The poor young man had a bad reaction to the
titrated, denatured Vex fluid we were using as a last-ditch therapy. The
substance did restore damaged structures very well, but we were ultimately
unable to control its more radical transformative effects. I had a very
encouraging final conversation with him, in which he thanked me for all my
efforts and encouraged me to continue my work.
