“Judge me by my actions” you say. Very well. The EHRC has converted statutory interpretation into prescriptive exclusion, declaring trans inclusion “very likely” unlawful although the Court ordered no blanket exclusion and expressly disclaimed policymaking. That is regulatory overreach.

However, I think this should highlight that some potential changes to legislation could have broad acceptance. Male facilities should not be exclusionary. Most women won't want to go in. But those who do should be lawfully permitted.

Once again, I come back to the fact these guys have created a situation where one of the UK's leading, cis female athletes is scared to go to the loo alone, and the fact that they are celebrating this as a step forward for women's rights.

where i have less sympathy is politicians *whose job it is to go over this stuff*—many seem to have also passively absorbed this idea this was small clarification, balancing of rights
i've found many cis people either: ▪️ don't know anything about this at all ▪️ or imagine it *allows* service providers to be trans-exclusionary, rather than *mandates* that & are only now catching up

The EHRC guidance does not apply to workplaces, and trans people are not criminalised for using any toilet in the UK. But the whole point of this - as with Section 28 back in the 1980s - is to intimidate people. Don't give into that fear.

I'd like my tablet to last more than two years, or a washing machine that doesn't break after five. I'd like shoes with soles that don't wear flat within 6 months, and clothes with stitching that doesn't come undone. None of these are cheap things. The mid price things don't last as they should.

But I didn’t want Cadburys to taste like shite, that’s been imposed on me. Mondolez made $2.4 billion last year they could have swallowed some of the higher cocoa costs, but didn’t, and more importantly, now costs are lower, they won’t reinstate the quality will they?
