I do have to wonder if Nozomi would ever get used to and indeed, comfortable, even, if she amassed a tonnage of weight leaving her 100% bedbound. I think part of it depends on how her friends react to it, but only partially. They can't exactly stop her deep guilt and need to feel useful from biting.

not to bitch about thl fandom a bit but. i think genuinely the worst thing that can happen to a character you like isn't them being unjustly hated but them being painted as a pure innocent figure, such that people are genuinely uncomfortable talking about any of their traits as potential flaws
