The chances that I'll ever watch this #Odyssey movie are nosediving deeper with each mention of the movie, regardless of the opinion. I might be wrong, but it's been historically true for me--whenever something's hyped up, it's not something that I'd enjoy. I'll definitely read it, though.
I keep forgetting to show this photo. This is where Mira from my story lived. saraf.iwl.pub/p/mira-is-go... "She was turning into a fish, she said. This had been going on for days. " #surreal #shortstory #WritingCommunity #mountains #photography

People: proud of having read gazillions of books in a few weeks (and rightly so). Meanwhile me: re-reading the same story for the third time, savoring every word and inspecting the stitches used to make the story awesome. #AmReading #AmWriting

I've just discovered the #WaterWednesday hashtag. I've got so many photos to post--water bodies are something of an obsession. Then I realized I have a whole story. It fits perfectly. But even without the story, my photo fits too, so here it is: saraf.iwl.pub/p/into-the-w... #shortstory #myphoto
Into the water
“We came from water, and to the water we will go.” Did he say this aloud? The old man wasn’t sure. And there was nobody he could ask.

All it takes is one great review from a happy customer... and we are good working for free for at least another 18 months! If you like what we do, please review "After Dinner Conversation" stories on #Amazon, #Goodreads, or elsewhere.

If you follow the link, there's another one to a story called The Waiting Room. Its reality seems disorienting but asks a question you gradually start to understand. The clearer you see the question, the better you understand the reality. Then you realize the question is a part of your reality too.
We rarely post on social media calls for submissions because (1) we never close for submissions (2) we get plenty of submissions. But, we thought, why not, let's remind people we are (1) free to submit to and (2) pay $75/short story. #litmag #fiction buff.ly/K79OL9S
"A young woman in the street, walking in sandals with straps that were loosening and letting the dirt in, paused in an alleyway to fix her shoe when she sniffed the air, forgot about her shoe, and hurried the rest of the way home."

This one most humbly requests: articles in which academics are surveyed about their positions on topics central to their field. I’ll give examples in replies, but anything that seeks a sense of (non-)consensus in a domain. The more niche, old, or obscure, the better! Thank you for any help!
Sit still in the forest and listen to the creatures, wild folk, and monsters shambling in the shadows. Breathe quietly and know you are among friends.

Ursula K. Le Guin holds a special place in my writing. To my shame, I haven't read her books. But the IWL analyzer keeps comparing my writing to hers. I'm just starting to explore what kind of writing she believed in. Everything I encounter brings me relief--I finally hear a voice I understand.
What a gem and a breath of fresh air. Here's an interview with Ursula K. Le Guin where she speaks about writing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=elBV... Thank you @davidnaimon.bsky.social! #CreativeWriting #author #podcast #LeGuin
