I caught the train from Brum to Lichfield. A train guard was showing a new man the ropes, overheard, "you can remember it from the acronym SAMWISE, you know, out of Lord of the Rings" @roac.bsky.social may be amused. I was intrigued, looked it up, it actually is a thing🙂
I painted the dove in 1991, at the request of the then owner. I'm pleasantly surprised it's still there over 30 years later in the historic town of Stony Stratford.

Drawing challenge week 2. "Draw a scene from your favourite movie". I've seen "Battle of Britain" over a hundred times, but "American Graffiti", "Eraserhead" and "The Shining" were also contenders. My Spitfire has turned out a bit wonky.
