Decided on a 14" MBP for my next work computer 💻 This will be my first time ever having the smaller size, but I've been convinced by many it's the way to go, especially for focus. Now my question is - if you're working in full screen more often with a smaller size, how to you manage your windows?
guess i should have pushed to prod at the end of the week, huh github?
me: "i really want to lean into analog things this year" also me: *builds a project / habit tracking app from scratch in week 3*
As someone who works from their laptop most of the time, I'm having an unusally hard time deciding between another 16" laptop or moving to a 14" when I upgrade.
Earlier this year, I led the development of the Streaks feature in @buffer.com so when I lost my streak a couple weeks ago I was very tempted to log into MongoDB and *cough* accidentally repair my streak *cough*. I would never do that, of course
My lovely coworkers at @buffer.com gifted me a latte art workshop a while back, and I got to attend it over the weekend ☕ Check it out:

My iPhone only ever leaves its case when I install the latest iOS version and I cannot explain this behavior.
Something I've learned this year: burnout can happen even when things are going well! By all measures, both life and work are better than ever, but I'm *tired*. Like a deep, deep tiredness 😴
The afternoon coffee is a dangerous game. Will it keep me awake all night? Who knows! 🤷♂️

One of my favorite perks of working at Buffer is our coffee shop coworking allowance 🫡 It’s amazing how getting out of the house for an hour or two does wonders for my productivity (and mental health, let’s be honest) Prefer a coworking space? We’ll cover that instead!
Always love making a giant pot of veggie broth once I save enough scraps. Makes a delicious base for some of our favorite soups: minestrone, pasta e fagoli, and lentil soup 😋
Recently hit my 3 year mark @buffer.com, and thought I'd celebrate in a way that feels most true to myself: with coffee ☕️ Here are some fun Buffer coffees over the years:
One of my summer sprint (buff.ly/JLyuk3v) goals is to go on a walk most days, regardless of the temperature. It's been such a great way to disconnect for an hour. Today, it was a balmy 93 F, but I did it anyway and it was still a lovely time in nature! Not pictured: me, extraordinarily sweaty.
This week, I’m starting what I’m calling a "summer sprint". After planning it for a few weeks, I'm excited for a couple months of focused energy across three areas, while taking advantage of warm weather and longer days here in Nashville. Here's what I'm up to:
I feel like I’m 10+ years late to the iPad party, but I got one recently for the first time, and it’s actually quite lovely. I’m using it as a distraction-free tool to conduct a lot of the non-code activities of my job at @buffer.com Here's how I'm using it lately:
When the checked luggage is “with you” on the last of three flights for the day 🥲
