The more and more I think about it, Generative AI is a modern technological equivalent of a deal with The Devil. It promises wealth, power, and your greatest fantasies... but at the physical costs to the environment and selling your soul and integrity in the process. Demonic deals always backfire.

@mikemcmahan.bsky.social I've been playing Magic The Gathering for decades, and this might be the scariest card yet. Badgey will fit perfectly into my Red/Black Horror deck with the other demons and monsters.
“Doreen! There’s a spider on you! One of those big, hairy, brown ones with the long legs that can move like the wind itself!”
One thing that makes me feel insane is that the primary use of AI is to mass produce the pornography that they are trying to make it illegal for humans to make. But also, the AI isn't even good at it. None of it is hot!
Slightly surprised that the majority of what I'm hearing about ICE CREAM MAN is that people are steering clear now because of the AI use, as opposed to already steering clear because it's directed by Eli "Sex Crimes, War Crimes, and the BORDERLANDS Movie" Roth.
“The Muppets Go Mortal” When an evil wizard’s curse turns Kermit and friends from felt to fellas, can they fit in as humans? Amy Poehler as Miss Piggy John C Reilly as Fozzie Jack Black as Animal Timothée Chalamet as Gonzo Michael Shannon as Sam Eagle And introducing Chris Pratt as Kermit the Frog
The Democratic establishment better get the memo and get with the times, or they won't be the establishment much longer.
Flukeman. Genuinely the scariest thing on TV in the 90's.
We hit season 2 of The X-Files and got to my favourite guy, the Flukeman. I forgot what a great monster design / suit he has. Criminal he never had a follow-up episode like Tooms.
Your little oopsie "mistakes" had me worrying for a year of my life about my partner going to jail for up to a decade based on lies likely fed to you by the top of the federal government. Show everyone what you're covering up in these emails and texts. There's a reason you don't want them released.
Boutros acknowledges 'mistakes' in 'Broadview 6' case but says sanctions, special counsel aren't needed

Klobuchar is going to put up Saddam numbers in November.
Every single Republican candidate for governor of Minnesota (including Mike Lindell!) makes clear that if Trump tried another Operation Metro Surge in the Twin Cities, they would support his efforts to brutalize residents
famously a guy so anti-worker that he specifically told Bob Iger he would renege the Pixar buyout unless they were guaranteed to be non-union, and co-concocted a wide-ranging wage-fixing conspiracy across multiple studios, so I'm not surprised

SPACEX PLANS MOON FACTORIES POWERED BY HUMANOID ROBOTS
Haley Stevens drops out of the race, endorses Abdul El-Sayed, and announces she's going to voice Shinji in a new Neon Genesis Evangelion dub from Vinegar Syndrome.
El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"
El-Sayed: "If all Mike Rogers got is that 'his name is Abdul, and my name is Mike,' you're gonna be surprised how many people are like, 'Yeah, but that's the Abdul who wants to bring down the price of my groceries and make sure I got healthcare. So yeah, I like Abdul over your Mike from Florida.'"
"Well, you know what they always say. Kill 'em-- BANG --with Kind ...Ness. Kindness. Oh jeez I thought that would flow better. Huh. Gotta do something about that! Ha! Anywhoo, where's that bomb?"

Air quality. I grew up in the Los Angeles basin in the 70s and 80s and remember having to stay inside because the smog was so bad - Stage 2 smog alerts, they were called. Apparently they haven't had one of those since 1988. Haven't had a stage one smog alert since 2003.
Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

New York City’s business elites are long accustomed to direct access to City Hall, where even Democratic mayors felt the need to court the city’s wealthiest and most influential corporate leaders. That access is getting shredded by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
