No platform wants you dragging its users off-site. Can't really blame them, but when they actively try to prevent it by refusing to show your friends your links - e.g., to your blog, your books, your art - like Facebook does, then maybe they're rendering themselves obsolete in the long run.
I'd read this. The world needs respite from the world and a renewed belief in the possibilities of happy endings.

It will be set in a cozy forest glen with a babbling brook and friendly animals, and nothing bad will happen for the entire 600 pages.
Jane Yolen passed away this morning and I am in deep mourning. I had the great privilige of being friends with her for over four decades. We laughed together, did panels together, edited each other, and eventually wrote a book together. She was my editor for several books . . . 1/2

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
