Long shot, but are there any Literature academics out there who would be willing to part with their print copy of the journal English from Spring 2025? It's the special issue I edited on poetry archives, but it is proving very difficult to obtain an extra copy from the publisher...

Happily, I passed my viva with minor corrections yesterday afternoon and am now the sort of doctor who will be of no use at all if you're, say, bleeding out on a plane. Thank you to my supervisors Tiffany Atkinson & Jeremy Noel-Tod, and examiners Luke Kennard & Holly Corfield Carr!

Submitted a PhD today. If I was interesting enough to have haters, boy - what a bad day for them this would be. Or, depending on their hater ethos, a great day. Would the haters and I perhaps be on the same side today? Sadly, we'll never know
Really happy that Peter Gizzi won the TS Eliot Prize. The new Ela Minus album is great. New Perfume Genius song is too. I hand in my PhD very soon and will be able to read books for 'pleasure' again
