The Philly ascendancy continues, why San Jose is still good at soccer, and how FC Dallas keep winning games.

Match winners like Farrington and Musa paired with defensive performances like this one from Kaick vs Portland is the recipe for how Dallas keep somehow getting the job done. Dallas are 3rd in the West while ranking 29th for average possession and 18th for total season xG.
Justin Ellis did this against Toronto off the bench in 20 minutes...

An Orlando duo no one saw coming, how St. Louis made me eat my words, and why LAFC won’t win the MLS Cup.

Josh Sargent balled out this weekend. Dude loves playing against Chicago.
400+ mil spent by Tottenham this summer and only one of the signings had 10+ goal contributions (barely) last season. Desperately need someone who can actually finish chances.
Fully agree with the @mattdoyle.bsky.social take on the Soccerwise transfer special that St. Louis is weaker post-summer window. Love the Navarro, Holse, and Downs signings, but I don't see them making up for the consistent impact Marcel Hartel had on this team.

Rating center backs is very difficult, but if I were running a club and needed one i'd be giving Osaze Urhoghide a call. Only 26 years old.
On very limited data.... Jack Harrison looks like he could be the best right winger in MLS pretty comfortably.
Zavier Gozo on the bench for Crystal Palace vs Man City 🇺🇸
Doing this to the 5th-place team in the West is something else.
Philadelphia was never that bad this season, and their rise post World Cup break has been incredible. Must-watch team for me with Neil Pierre and Cavan Sullivan leading the way.
He's now got 5g/11a in 1400 mins across all competitions. This kind of productivity at age 16 in a top 10 league in the world is very, very rare. VERY.
