Cleaner way to do it: MLS 1, MLS 2 - 15 teams each, 28 game, home and away, regular season. Promotion/Relegation 5 up, 5 down, increases the value of the Leagues Cup and Open Cup. But Berg ain’t going to be that guy.

This is very interesting because one of SD/LAG have to take on the DP tag. SD doesn’t really have leverage in this deal since they’ve frozen out Chucky, so wonder what kind of deal they’ll have to negotiate to have LAG take on the tag. Remember Klich deal between ATL-DC. On ATL Roster, DP on DC

Pádraig Smith took over as club president at the start of the 2023 season and the Rapids were very solidly in the red on transfer fees before the Harrington deal. So they've done some good work selling guys, but man have they squandered those winnings putting together an 11th-place team.
