Planarian Games. Blame me for MUTANANNY, Clown Helsing, METTLE Core, WSBABSDTEDDCC, and others. He/Him. See my stuff: Itch: https://planarian.itch.io/ DrivethruRPG: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/10311/Planarian?affiliate_id=490690

It's amazing to me that no one has made Vampires close to the ones in the Strain that swell up with blood like mosquitoes, but where the stored blood just gives them huge ass cheeks. Are there no deranged perverts on this site?

As someone who has spend two decades of my life trying to read all the RPG systems, as someone who has written systems, please, don't fucking bother, it's mostly nonsense. Read what you need, ignore the rest. The rules are never as important as the stuff you and your friends make up as you play.

It's the rules that you have to read all the rules, except for the rule that states explicitly states that you can add or discard any rules you wish. That is a _bad_ rule, as opposed to the others, which are _good_ rules.

I get phone calls from companies that start "One a one to ten scale, how satisfied are you with your service from..." and I just interrupt and tell them I do not rate things from one to ten. I utter this absurd statement with religious finality and hang up. I wish other people would too.

Damn I am watching the Jack Smith hearing and these Republican senators are terrified of anyone finding out about what must be massively incriminating info on their phones. What on earth were they getting up to?

Apropos of current news, when one of my friends took the test to become a Resident Assistant (RA) at a dorm, there was a question that automatically fails you if you answer wrong. They ask if someone reports a rape, do you call the campus or the police? Guess which answer is wrong. Go ahead.

I'm loving all these people surprised at Trump ignoring a court order when those are basically the court saying "hey man, you can't do that! no fair!" and that is the end of it.

I'm back. I think I got a grip on things, keeping away from news and connected computers seriously helped. Also some very gestaltic ugly crying. Gotta turn in some work that's very late, and get back on the horse. Drew this at some point.

Doodle of a thumb shaped man with a puzzled expression talking into a mike in from of a neon sign that says "The Dunning-Kruger Experience"

I read something a while back about how if you get in a fight and your pants fall down, you have lost that fight, no matter what else happened. Next game I run I am going to have a character's pants fall down at 0 HP instead of more lethal consequences. #ttrpg

So what I am getting is that the same press that sane-washed Trump for years, all for the sake of their precious "access" has lost their access anyway. Good luck with that 1st amendment suit now I suppose.

Now that my whole mini-golf section of my scenario is complete, I am proud of one thing. I didn't contrive any supernatural reasons that the players could not cheat. While it seems like there would be some prohibition, It is actually totally indifferent to that and they can engage with it or not.

The interesting thing about the mini golf scenario in BONED is striking the balance between how much to elide. Eliding nothing and making it narrative is where I start, but it felt a bit too wide open. Eliding everything down to just a roll and results felt pointless.
