I've stopped using google maps. I'd use it again in a totally unfamiliar city, but I always used to use it going to any new place. I jokingly call it "fighting the last war" but I really notice how I have to pay a different kind of attention actually watching for the road signs

I do think we lost something when we stopped doing arithmetic with our bodies. But in other ways we gained a lot. Technology is tradeoffs!

re Fable: - first time I can think of when frontier went backwards...probably not the last time - dynamic workflows of Fable scoping + reviewing work that Opus/Sonnet did worked well. I had been skeptical that I'd ever voluntarily use a "worse" model but it honestly worked
