@jam.coop
https://jam.coop is an online music store co-operative. We're owned and controlled by artists, fighting back against the enshittification of online music. Join us!
Having to switch between accounts on bandcamp always seemed a bit clunky - it must be worse if you have many profiles to manage. When we started working on jam we thought we'd make that easier. On jam.coop you can manage all your accounts under one login, or if you prefer, create separate accounts.
Other great ways to support directly are by buying the digital version from one of these excellent places if you prefer them to Bandcamp: Subvert (@subvert.fm): www.subvert.fm/hawaiiworms/... Mirlo (@mirlo.space): mirlo.space/hawaiiworms/... jam. coop (@jam.coop): jam.coop/artists/hawa...
Inspired by Codeberg we added an "Alternatives to jam" page - some places to consider in case jam isn't for you: jam.coop/docs/alterna...
It's a year of layoffs and tech wealth consolidation at the expense of the people doing the actual work. Here's the update a lot of us want to hear the least.
my 13 years at bandcamp are coming to an end - i’ve been laid off along with most of the remaining engineers. best job i’ve ever had, working with the best people you could ever work with. unceremonious end to quite a ride.
jam.coop now has a more stream-lined interface for adding tracks to albums. You can select multiple files then reorder and rename them after upload.
We started working on jam.coop when BC went after its unionised workers, worried it would come to this. Solidarity with you all, hope you land on your feet ✊

Really pleased to tell you that my last EP, Kiosk 67, is available on @jam.coop. For those who want an alternative to Bandcamp it's a co-operatively owned music store, based in the UK. I intend to make my forthcoming EP available on there the day it releases too. jam.coop/artists/hawa...

We're slowly building an alternative to Spotify and Bandcamp. Owned by artists, labels the people who work here. Why? Because if we work together and own it together it can never be taken away.
We're featuring Focus Puller from London today on the jam.coop homepage. His In Plain Sight EP features "2 low-slung sleazy techno cuts". Does what it says on the tin 👍. jam.coop/artists/focu... #music #cooperative
Take a listen to Evaporating by Zook on yk records. Good Friday afternoon music. It reminds me a little of Carrot Rope-era Pavement. jam.coop/artists/zook... #music

We've added a "featured artist" section to the jam.coop homepage. It replaces our "recently added" and was a bit of a tough decision. We want to put the focus on human-made (rather than AI-made) album artwork and photography but this involves an element of subjectivity and curation.
