There is a call for art for two original pieces for a college's auditorium. The obvious choice, per her subject matter, is Michiko Itatani, whose work I love. The budget is too low for two of her pieces, though, so I might have a chance.

Today I took apart an old laptop to skin it for parts. Not like a proper autistic to see how it ticks, but for art materials. I saved the coppery bits for recycling. My fan was filthy from laptopping in bed.

yeah nobody's really helped me figure out if the smaller dimensions of these out-of-focus Richter photos were related to the focal length of the blur, but it's fine; turns out Richter took the blurred photo in 1990, when he made the painting, and he was taking lots of out-of-focus photos back then
gregorg@greg.org · 2w agoPhotog Q: Richter made out-of-focus photo editions of his favorite squeegee ptg, 724-4, but they (73x100cm) are ≈20% smaller than the orig (92x126cm). From these dimensions, can you calculate the change in focal length for his photo, to see if it matches the level of blur? greg.org/archive/2026...

Ha! Cutting and sanding circuit board is rather similar to processing stained glass. I just sanded the edges of some circuit board hexagons on my glass grinder. It worked great.

Downtown Roselle looks like a wood chipper blew through. Trees on roofs. I was surprised to hear the sirens while I was weaving by the window, b/c it wasn't bad by me at all. Just a bit of 1/2" hail. Miraculously, the giant old hollow tree across the street is still standing.
