Sarah Rose (who is blind): “Meta glasses are absolute game changers for the blind community…they are completely revolutionary.” And: “It really is incredible to talk to your glasses and ask them what they see and have them tell you.” [bsky.app]

The good taxpayers of New York have given me a pair of Meta glasses because I am low vision disabled, and I seem to have used them more than a lot of people on here, so let me say a little about my experiences: [contains quote post or other embedded content]

we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

Weekly design work post! This past week at @RelevanceAI_ I designed the start screen for our slides product, going from a minimal text input to a rich drawer of options and parameters to set and tweak 🎨 Here's the before and after:

I'm thinking of sharing regular in-progress design work each week from my work at Relevance AI 🤓 This week projects: - Queuing messages in the chat app - A nice visual landing for the Slides agent - Adding integrations to the chat app, with a fun animated Gameboy cartridge

The AI apps I'm using daily: - Granola - Wispr Flow - Cursor Importantly, they all extend what I can already do. They're like the align tools in Figma; I could do it manually, but these speed up existing ability.

I wish iPhones had an option to lock the screen. I'm tired of accidentally skipping podcasts/dismissing notifications/hanging up on someone/blasting the volume whenever I grab my phone out of my pocket. Here's a rough idea I came up with that could work.

When I was a kid, I saw diversity all over the media I consumed because we all understood it was a good thing. Now suddenly any display of diversity is considered dangerous. Wonder why.

I think the most important question we’ll need to ask ourselves as builders in the new AI age is no longer "is it possible for me to build this?" and instead "is it responsible for me to build this?" We're squarely in the "...they didn't stop to think if they should” era.

One of the most underrated things about @linear is they make it very hard to stuff up. The amount of times I've accidentally closed something or my page has refreshed, while writing a super long comment/ticket, only to find it waiting safely for me when I return is incredible 👏

I had a very productive week last week 🥳 Here's stuff I got done: ✍️ DrawKit: new company update weekly blog post 🎥 Milestones: new YouTube video 🎥 Painting: new YouTube video Details & links in the thread 👇
