Had to turn down an apprenticeship recently that was advertised as helping students use digital art tools in colleges. It was just about AI. They want students to use AI before they’ve even lifted a stylus. I sent an email that was close to “I’d like to be able to sleep at night thanks”

Finally sold Rising Stars vol 1. Had a little re-read/skim and it’s even better than I remember.
No Man’s Sky: the ten year anniversary commentary on the expedition was heartwarming. So many amusing anecdotes from the inside of a 4-man studio that got royally dragged through the mud, and then fought hard to see their steam score slowly creeping up.
28YL: Bone Temple was brilliant. I’ll never forget satanist Iron Maiden freak Ralph Fiennes. Sensational. This might be my favourite role I’ve seen him in. I like the glimmers of hope in this series, something a lot of other zombie stuff doesn’t like to indulge in.

Another critically panned game I loved: Reservoir Dogs. Unneeded, belated IP fast-food that knew the assignment and had some actual nice ideas and touches to it.

It pulls simple but brilliant little tricks to make you anxious, and the environments are great. I’m not enthused by the gameplay on its own (it’s fiiiiine) but the theater supporting it has been strong enough to carry the whole thing so far.
