@wotcmatt.bsky.social If I cast Amped Raptor from hand and exile Wear//Tear, may I begin casting one of the halves if I have less than 3 Energy in my pool? When I pay costs, do I pay 3 Energy or Energy equal to the mana value of the half I am casting? i.e. What does 'its' refer to on the card text?

This is to my knowledge the second time an Energy list of this style has made a challenge top 8 in quick succession. I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I don't want to dismiss anything that's getting results out of hand, but it certainly does not look like something I would want to try myself. 🤷‍♂️

Hopped back on MTGO after the 🚗 ban and was rewarded with an instant 🏆. Lost one game to T1 Chalice. I will admit I misread 🦅 Eagles 🦅 as costing 4 overall to cast with Kicker, but I still had a good time bouncing Ajani with it. Fun card!
