Jeff Bezos and his wife are the lead sponsors of tonight's Met Gala. Now seems like a good time to remind folks of all the ways Bezos is shafting American consumers and Amazon workers — and how his wealth is putting our democracy at risk. https://www.commondreams.org/opinion/amazon-ceo-jeff-bezos

It Is Difficult for the Brain to Comprehend All the Ways Jeff Bezos Is Shafting Americans | Common Dreams

Like the robber barons of the first Gilded Age, Bezos’s consumption is of the conspicuous kind. But is luxurious lifesty

How the Tech World Turned Evil Once upon a time, they were counterculture idealists bringing power to the people. Today they’re greedy monopolists who’d sooner destroy our democracy than be reined in by government in any way — and they have to be stopped.

Nuff said. Now look at international ambitions too.

Palantir put out the most cartoonishly evil statement possible. They’re so arrogant and self-confident they don’t seem to believe their fascistic plans can be opposed. We must get rid of Palantir altogether. twitter-thread.com/t/2045574398...

A reminder the only path to victory for Reform lies in getting all the pensioners and over 50's to vote for them because everyone else hates them We're not helping them do that It is the billionaires and their corporations that must be crushed to provide for everyone

Blair's think tank is funded by Larry Ellison (Oracle). Ellison is mentioned nearly 400 times in the #Epstein files. Has the UK done any due diligence on who they letting mess with public services?

When will unions stand up to protect the rights of working people? They are under attack from the Starmer regime. @tuc.org.uk @unison.org.uk @andreaegangs.bsky.social @unitetheunion.bsky.social @rmtunion.bsky.social @fbunational.bsky.social

Banning protests, criminalising peaceful protesters, removing your right to a jury trial, spying on bank accounts, trying to introduce mandatory digital IDs, expanding facial recognition, selling your health data to a foreign AI company. Has there ever been a more authoritarian regime in the UK?

There is growing evidence of grave violations of International Law that could amount to war crimes. Starmer must stop aiding this war mongering President. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

America not being a signatory to a number of treaties does not mean that international law does not exist. The US is conducting clear war crimes, and boasting about it. They should be treated as a pariah state. They definitely shouldn't be getting a Royal visit.

I have lived in NL for a few years now but never got used to EU sizes - still keep ordering wrong, keep returning stuff. Couldn't find an app that wasn't stuffed with ads. Couldn't use google when i didn't have connectivity. apps.apple.com/us/app/what-size/id6757195133

Don’t get me wrong my Mac mini m4 is a thing of beauty - will I veer towards Apple after seeing them cosy up to the orange one? Prob not. Won’t be an iPhone next time and will decouple from rest of ecosystem slowly.

You know USA is closer to Russia via Alaska. But Greenland makes an ideal launch platform for Europe. Hmmmm.

I’ve been bothering NATO officials for over 2 years with one Q: what will happen if NATO member attacks another NATO member? No answer. Well, soon they’ll have to show us what this, in fact, means.
