The situation in Lebanon is deteriorating rapidly. Trócaire's Lebanon team & our partners are doing all they can to support civilians but we urgently call for an end to Israeli attacks in Lebanon. The international community must do everything possible to ensure peace & the protection of civilians.

Week #374 We managed to escape a downpour! Increasingly erratic weather is part & parcel of the climate crisis that our Govt seems intent on making worse - with plans to abolish the Dublin airport passenger cap, build fossil fuel import terminals, support of nitrates derogation etc.

Minister for Environment Darragh O'Brien is attempting to rush through approval for a €900 million LNG reserve at the cost of the taxpayer & the planet. The proposed legislation would give the Minister full responsibility for the planning application & completely change the normal planning process.
