There is also a new shell on the shore of history, as I have republished in English an earlier text of mine on Descartes's alleged tendency to kick and mutilate living animals (originally published in Finnish by the Animal Justice Party of Finland). shoreofhistory.blogspot.com/2026/07/did-...

was extremely honoured to be invited as a speaker to XVI Puistofilosofiaviikko 21.-25.7.2026 (@puistofilosofia.fi) in Ikaalinen, Finland. The organization was great and everything went smoothly (expect for the fact that I was in the wrong place at first). Big thanks to Antti Sorri.

Helsinki Pride was overflowing with people this year. Happy, dancing, singing people, sharing their love. The message was clear. We will not be silenced. We will not be pushed back. We will not be forced back into the closet. Happy Pride week! Let love win over hatred. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

A most excellent trip to Durham at the end of last week. Great to hear and learn about 19th and 20th century philosophy and got good feedback on my presentation on Shepherd. Also met with Peter West (Northeastern London) regarding my research project on Shepherd. More on that hopefully later.
