Episode Two of my Siqram campaign log! We migrated our campaign from 5e to Draw Steel for this season. In this post I go over our first Montage Test and the first time our players Assist a Test. Oh yea, and the player's got their first quest together.

Siqram S3E02: Our first quest

Soaring above the Vestonar mountains, the Quick Gold sails through the sky. Her sails are full, her wings extended, she moves with a steady grace belying her battered appearance. A sudden BOOM rocks…

i think a lot of prospective GMs and players learn this paternalistic view of facilitation from actual plays where the GM's storytelling genius is emphasized above all else. i don't think it's the only thing that feeds this view (we live in a paternalistic society) but it certainly builds culture

Second post about Siqram, my campaign in its third season. This season we moved from D&D 5e to Draw Steel. In this post I go through what happened in the session and my opening thoughts on the system. www.rollforinsight.blog/siqram-s3e01... Let me know what you think!

I've been thinking a bunch lately about Yes, And in TTRPG as a GM. I don't have any concrete thoughts yet, but I think that structurally, we don't always set ourselves up for success to be good partners to our players.

I moved my long standing 5e campaign over to Draw Steel and have been contemplating writing up session reports around what happens and how things have worked out from a GM perspective. Would folks be interested in that?

I’ve been running Rime of the Frostmaiden in Draw Steel. We’re three sessions in and I’ve been wondering if folks would be interested in me sharing more. I’ve heavily modified the campaign for my PCs. If you are, what do you wanna know? What format do you want? Reshares appreciated!
