"Being trans is sad Being trans is horrid." Shut up. Being trans is great. Look. I've got inner peace and a fucking scythe.

A friend of mine once read the Geneva Convention just so that she was well versed in war crimes and could then commit as many possible during a DnD campaign.
Being a church treasurer must be an insane job because sometimes she's using our hardship find to help really vulnerable people secure housing, and sometimes she's checking receipts for bottles of wine that we're gonna turn into Jesus, and sometimes she's asking me why I've bought the church an axe.
The curse of being a church treasurer is that sometimes you get to do something that really helps someone out and sometimes you say something that makes you sound like George Osborne
Grab a friend. Go on an adventure. Be reminded that the world is so big and so beautiful and we are but very small parts of it.
Every time I walked into the Convent library this book by the door would give me a little jumpscare as I assumed that the Diana in question was Princess Diana.
Sharks may not be full of plastic! Finally, some good fuckin' news!
The finding: no plastic (>1 mm) in any specimen. In marine plastic research, that's a rare and genuinely good result. It suggests pelagic elasmobranchs here may have lower plastic exposure than we'd assume, and gives us a solid baseline to track change over time.
My friend is moving house soon, and her husband had me print a load of these for everyone who's helping them, so when it gets a bit much, we can just hand one to her, and honestly? To be loved is to be known.
My friends were begging me to teach them Catan and tonight was the night. At the start they asked why it took so long for me to teach them, and I said "I had to make sure your relationship would survive" And they laughed... Until I monopolised the entire brick supply and set them against each other.
this is my favourite thing William Stukeley ever said. let's just reflect on the Ancient Egyptians, Plato and the Druids AND ALL of the HEATHEN PHILOSOPHIES having a true "CHURCH OF ENGLAND" appreciation for the Doctrine of the Trinity. did you know that Mentuhotep III was an anglican??
many apologies to inflict any part of my undergrad dissertation on anyone, but fundamentally William Stukeley is not a man to take seriously
stupid william stukeley poem I got published in Occulum Magazine the better part of a decade ago
As I near 30 my Instagram ads have become almost entirely hair transplant clinics, and I'm absolutely watching them all because I'd rather have Instagram trying to sell me something I absolutely do not need, than tempting me with things I neither need, nor can afford, but might stupidly buy anyway.
Median UK voter in 2026, as predicted by Hugh Laurie some decades ago:
“The UK has been ranked ***189th*** out of 218 countries for nature, with some 56% species in decline and 15% threatened with extinction… rewilding – large-scale restoration of nature to the point where it can take care of itself – will help reverse this collapse in biodiversity”
Anyone not answering the question of "Why Is Europe On Fire?" with "Climate Change" is either paid to obfuscate reality by some ecocidal fossil fuel/AI/military magnate, or has swallowed the boot of such orators so deeply that their very spirit has been rendered a slipper for the bourgeoisie.
"It's not climate change, it's likely just someone not putting out a cigarette proper-" AND WHY IS ALL THE GRASS IN ENGLAND SO DRY THAT A COUPLE OF CARELESS CIGARETTE BUTTS COULD ENGULF THE NATION IN FLAME???
This was recorded when I was up on Holy Island last week, so there's a bit where I do a poem, if you're into that. Plus portions of the beautiful Sunday Eucharist with the choir, guest preacher, etc. Worth a peek.
Today's service is from St Mary’s Church on Holy Island, led by Rev Canon Dr Sarah Hills, with music from St Martin in the Fields and Trinity Church Choral Scholars. In this service we will celebrate the life of St Aidan. Join us at cofe.io/NinthSundayAfterTrinity

Jokes aside, I see people go "I think I'm trans but I'm not gonna address it because of all the difficult stuff, what would I get out of it?" And the answer is true joy. That's what you get out of it. Unless you face yourself, fully and completely, and know who you are, you will never find true joy.

According to the parliamentary annual report & accounts for the 2025/26 financial year, the cost of subsidising the bars in the House of Commons alone was around £5.8 million. Meanwhile, to save £3 million less than that, Jodrell Bank is being defunded and shut down. share.google/MRHIvCsCsKoc...

And yeah you should be free to be stupid and reckless and it sucks that we aren’t and have to be careful but acknowledging it is actually a good thing to keep yourself safe None of it is fair or just or right but it is the state of things
“How dare you suggest we be careful as trans people they go after us no matter what we do” yeah because the situation is so volatile and they pounce on everything is exactly Why taking care is required. Its a call to not be reckless, not to be a model minority
Seeing people criticising this as a kind of tone policing or call for politeness and i dont think it is, to me its more dont get in trouble for something stupid, like if you are going to be in trouble have it be for something meaningful rather than foolishly saying something bloodthirsty
Apple charges people ~20% more than the Patreon list price and they keep the difference for themselves. They also hold the proceeds of iOS app sales for 75 days, making it impossible for creators to accurately predict earnings. They basically inserted themselves in order to rip *more* people off
Any of you using the ios version of Patreon to support me, switch to the browser version instead, cuz the apple fees have actually taken over 3000 usd from me in the course of a year
