The main way in which AI has negatively impacted games industry jobs is not through actual automation of those jobs or even untrue claims about automation. It's by making capital unavailable because it's tied up in AI investments while also destroying the consumer base for video game hardware.

Well, this is a MAJOR blow to accessibility. Fortnite has nerfed the Visual Audio wheel, which was designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing players. It makes the game almost unplayable for those players. Plus it helped a ton of other disabled players, including myself www.linkedin.com/posts/cdspow...

I had to fight for five years to get diagnosed on the NHS after being diagnosed privately... via an NHS contract??? I finally got my meds just in time for my final Uni year, in which I cannot explain how much better my life is with them - inside and outside of education. It's a health condition.

Unfortunately this is not a "new" story. People are forced to get private assessments because the NHS backlogs are years long, meds are already limited, and now even with a diagnosis you can't get a prescription on the NHS. It is a nightmare for so many people, and a failing of healthcare. 1/
