He/Him. PDX. 40-something choir kid. Newbie #DnD DM. #exvangelical. Work for the county library. Jack of all trades, master of none -- but sometimes better than a master of one. TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS.

My entire algorithm on instagram has mutated into Spider-Man critiques and I HATE IT. I liked the movie! It was really fun! It resonated with me emotionally. Stop trying to tell me that I shouldn’t have liked it! Find a new hobby!

Everything is bad, but books are good. Get a book. Read the book. Cherish the book. Finish the book. Tell your friends about the book, and leave a review of the book. Hold the book close. Listen to what it tells you. Do as it commands. Place it on the dread altar and let it guide your every choice.

Good-faith concern on this issue would be going, "hmm, professional sports leagues should probably have some standards in place to ensure trans competitors aren't getting an unfair advantage," googling for 5 minutes, realizing every sports league already has those standards and dropping it.

i don't believe anyone has "good-faith" concerns about trans women in sports in 2026. there's been too much time to hear the actual evidence, the actual people affected, and the role the debate plays in attempts to purge trans people from American life. anybody picking that side has made a choice

I ran a 3.5 hour #dnd one shot today and I’m EXHAUSTED. Longest session I’ve ever done. but I had a great time. I learned a lot, and the players all said they really enjoyed it. So I’m feeling pretty great about the whole thing.

My 12yo and his freind are going to see The Odyssey tomorrow by themselves and I love it so much. That is EXACTLY how I spent so many summer days when I was a kid. I couldn't wait for the next big movie to come out.

My favorite way to put this, as someone who studied Classical History in actual college (not just on Twitter): If you told an ancient Roman or Athenian that his culture had "more in common" with a German or Briton than with an Egyptian or Ethiopian, he'd punch you in the throat.

So easy to be spoken well of in death. If you spend your days treating people with respect and busying yourself with things you're good at that bring you joy, your legacy is secured. and if your death is filled with meta discourse calls to be nice and not speak ill, well, whose fault is that?
