The more I ponder what Mary said here, I think it is VERY important for those who don't like this EVEN IF YOU DON'T STREAM and want to send a message to Amazon on where the Twitch community falls in the genAI discussion to go in their settings and turn this off. The metrics are what speaks to them.

Using the Twitch news today as another opportunity to urge my fellow streamers to STOP using genAI TTS services like Tangia. I don't care if it's trained off your own voice or Plankton from SpongeBob or what. Every time I see it in somebody's panels, I go like this:

Also, as an aside, if you are on a stream with airpods - IF YOU ARE CHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER OF TWITCH WITHOUT A DECENT MICROPHONE SETUP - I kind of just assume you don't know what you're doing.

I finally finished Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, holy god damn. It performed like ass on Switch 2 unfortunately, like inexcusably badly, but aside from that I thought the story and gameplay were nearly perfect
i feel like it's lost on people that video games are created with intentionality. it's not a mistake that a game designed for old hardware doesn't align with the standards of today. mods are a cool thing and maybe its neat to see a game in a way you havent before but its not an Objective Improvement
seeing people find out that gen1recomp is vibe-coded and then being like "aw man i hope a real one comes out soon" but like i don't understand in the first place what you would want out of a pc port of a game boy rpg?? is it the widescreen?? why would pokemon gen 1 need widescreen
