Hey @bsky.app, if you're going to force age verification on users, despite that being absurd in the first place, maybe make sure it actually works before rolling it out. Unbelievable.
Gmail has started suggesting AI generated replies to emails in my voice. And the thing is... I hate that they're pretty darn close to what I'd actually say. A bit more formal than I am, perhaps, but they're even are including jokes with tone indicators... I hate it.
Had to have a suuuuuuper awkward conversation with a really good client about dropping a project because of x, y, z, and I feel both terrible for letting them down (even if it wasn't mission critical) but so relieved to not have to work on the project anymore.
Y'all I crushed my networking this past weekend. Hopefully the pubs jump on board because I love making these videos but they're *just* enough effort to warrant needing a sponsor.

Another highlight of the convention this past weekend was meeting another JC with a glorious mustache. It really makes me want to start that JC mailing list...
So far origins has been a phenomenal convention for me. I'm so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such talented and supportive friends 💙💙
Big kudos to Origins for handling a vendor who didn't disclose using generative AI art correctly. Sign of shame getting taped to their booth (and an immediate ban from the con if they take it down), and moved to a worse location when they were being difficult like it's time out.
