Better than any of his star trek novels (I know, that's a low bar), these are genuinely fun vaguely cyberpunk-y books that I loved when I was young. Rereading them, they hold up the standard of fun but not 'serious', crime noir/cyberpunk, that I expected. Also brought these when I met him last year.

Its great to be at the gym and see fox news talking about how the framers of the constitution & amendments couldn't have foreseen how immigration - birthrate citizenship would evolve over time so changes need to be made...but somehow they could foresee assault weapons so all guns are fine always.

So I know I already read book 2 or whatever, but as this is one of the few other books of @margaret.bsky.social that the library has, I'm finally getting to this one. @akpress.org
This was a pretty big let down after Tender is the Flesh. :( going to give her other full length novel a chance though, in case short form just isn't really her thing.
