Logan had his first tackle football game yesterday. This kid played all over the field on both offense and defense, made plays, got a sack and a wide open touchdown! He’s going to marry a Pop Star!
Cynical, sure, but it took me way too long to realize that in America your gifts are not enough unless you can monetize them. Your artistry, your creativity, your wild impulses that give life real meaning, they are unvalued unless assessed through the cold calculus of profit and loss.
Not all work travel is glamorous. I’m currently in a Best Western in South Carolina that is under construction with a green pool. 🤮
KCDC 2025 will be the first conference that I’m attending as just an attendee since 2018! Very much looking forward to a chill, stress-free event.
A friend summed up AI’s role like this: “Give it the bitch work.” Let it wrangle notes, draft outlines, rename files — the stuff that drains time, not talent. It’s not laziness. It’s making space for the work that actually needs you. Let the machines grind. You make the good stuff.
