A ridiculously perfect summer night at the Hollywood Bowl, ready to see Jesus Christ Superstar live for the first time. I've known it by heart since I was 7 years old. A long time family favorite.

Impulsively bought a ticket for Jesus Christ Superstar (seeing tonight's show) on Friday after I saw the first snips of scenes. Those tickets, that I bought straight from the Bowl for $212 are now going for $720+ on resale sites!

Got to do most of the Disneyland "new stuff" this afternoon- Fantastic 4, new Small World verse, Walt audio animatronic. Now taking a hotel break before the "Disneyland Night Time Gauntlet". World of Color, fireworks (while walking), Paint the Night. Excited for a new show and an old favorite.

Controversial (maybe?) position- I think the sour cream and onion Mr. Fantastic mozzarella sticks is really good. I seemed to get a fresh one, that was gooey on the inside. I liked the addition of the seasoning to the breading. And I didn't mind the blue color. But it is definitely overpriced.

Epic Universe First Visit posting thread. Walked from the hotel at 7:22, took 13 minutes, I'm the second group in my security line. Very entertained by the commentary of Daniel the security guard while we wait for the gates to open.

Seeing lots of chatter about Texas alerts. Reminder that alerts are only as good as the policies and procedures that say when they should be sent. Pre-incident alerting is challenging - who is the incident commander requesting the alert if the flooding hasn't started yet?

Last time I was here my trip got interrupted by local job related events. Made an impulse decision to attend the Disneyland Pride Nite as an antidote to recent events and I couldn't be happier.

On warning sirens 🚨 ⚠️ If you can barely hear the mighty, pirecing sound of bagpipes on a windy day, can you really expect that everyone who needs to hear warning sirens and PA will hear and understand them? ...you shouldn't! And that's not what they're for.

I don't know what this means, but I'm the one who wrote a fully updated, 624-page hurricane response plan at FEMA that took over 2 years of work and careful coordination among state and federal agencies. He could start by studying that.

Breaking WSJ: The newly appointed head of FEMA acknowledged in private meetings that with two weeks to go until hurricane season, the agency doesn't yet have a fully formed disaster-response plan. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
