Astronomy, Astrophotography : I try to see what my eyes cannot see... My setup : 🔭 : C8 Edge HD - WO 73III on CEM40 mount 📹: DS ASI 533 MC Pro & Planetary ASI 462 MC 🌐 Astrobin : https://www.astrobin.com/users/Browndog/

A quick processing of the beautiful Sh2-124 nebula (showing part of the larger Sh2-124 region) from last Saturday’s imaging session. 🔭 About 70×180s subs. Thanks to @ltno2.bsky.social for the great tip on boosting the Hα emission through the luminance channel.

🌌✨ Clear skies in Normandy tonight! ☺️ 🔭Targeting SH2-124, a beautiful emission nebula. With the C8 EdgeHD, I’ll only be able to frame the central circular portion. It’s extremely faint, even 180s subs barely reveal it. Let’s see what the stack can pull out! June nights are so short! 😅

There you go — 57 × 240s on NGC 3718. 🔭 Still needs more integration time, but not a bad result at all. Also visible in the picture NGC3729 and loads of little galaxy’s… ☺️

Bild

NGC3718 tonight (weather permitting at last…😬) a beautiful barred spiral galaxy located 47.8 million light-years away, in the constellation Ursa Major. I adjusted the framing to include NGC3729 — note the lovely group of tiny galaxies to the right of NGC3718! Fingers crossed for tonight!🤞🏻🔭

Night / Day ! Still testing the #Seestar S50 🔭, which has been giving me quite a few issues. I’ve noticed a problem with my unit: during my deep-sky live stacking sessions, I’m getting a very high frame rejection rate — often exceeding 50%...

Quick processing of M106, this galaxy is stunning! Captured during the night of April 18–19 🔭, total integration time of 4h20 (66 × 240s subs), L-Pro filter Oh, note that I'm struggling with BS compression, many pixel artifacts when I upload the image... 😡 Maybe a background issue ?

#M101 #Galaxy Total or 3 nights (2 nights with L-Pro filter and 1 with L-Ultimate for H-alpha layer. About 13 hours total on this target)🔭 There’s still quite a lot of hot pixel noise in the L-Ultimate master after WBPP, I’m trying to figure out the cause, but overall the result is quite satisfying.
