I have, with my own eyes, watched my tax dollars in the form of missiles as they hit buildings inhabited by civilians. I'd much prefer subsidizing a grocery story I don't use.
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
If you’ve never larped before, it is live action DnD but you are your character and you stay in character for the weekend. In this game, I’m a several thousand year old elf mage whose real motivation for being in our little frontier postal outpost is unclear.
If folks are looking for a fun weekend in the woods hiding from realities of the modern world, and are vaguely close to the DC area, I recommend www.mirrorsightlarp.com . Staff and players are great and we are always looking for more players.
Reminder that Ghost of Dog submissions are still open, and will close at the end of this month. We currently have eleven episodes submitted, and room for two more.
Ghost of Dog submissions have, technically, been open, well, since last year's Ghost of Dog. But here's an official thing about them:

I'm 34.32 miles in to the day. Weather has been amazing and first climb was nice. Here's hope to more of that today!

I am Green to my boyfriend's Blue on a surprisingly regular basis in this scenario...
