How is this not a national scandal??!! Huge amounts of money apologising for poor service.

In April alone @eastmidsrailway.bsky.social paid out over £1 million in delay and repay payments. That’s just one rail company - they all have to make individual compensation payments That’s 53,834 people delayed AND aware / had time to claim Imagine if that £££ went on improving service

Managed to get all the way from Amsterdam on a train only to be greeted by @eastmidsrailway.bsky.social yay. No drivers = no trains. The only thing that makes this in any way palatable is filing a delay repay claim. Ffs
