there was something just sort missing from denji and yoru’s relationship for me. for how much time was spent on the two of them and how she’s paralleled with his other significant relationships (Power, Himeno, Makima) it never really felt like Yoru was shaping and forming Denji in the way they did.

looking back on it… I do wish that Yoru’s power was utilized in an abstract way more often. These two moments are really the only ones that feel like they’re testing the boundaries of her necessary perceived ownership and what counts as something she can weaponize.

it always kinda annoys me when people make out ogata killing his father as him killing his family. like. he literally had never met the man until that moment. that’s not his family. he abandoned him and his mother when he was a baby.
