This week, we passed my bills out of commitee to build more affordable housing by creating a state-based Low-income Housing Tax Credit. There are many actions we should take to tackle the housing crisis. This is one of the tools to increase supply and one that we may find bipartisan agreement on.
My bill to protect juveniles who work with the police as confidential informants was just reported out of the Michigan Senate Judiciary, Civil Rights, and Public Safety committee. My bill requires parental consent for a juvenile to act as a confidential informant.
