Fair pay to Buster Posey he has gotten some wild returns for his deadline rentals.

I’ve always sort of liked Silseth (god knows I saw him a bit in Salt Lake) and he might even be an interesting starting conversion for a good pitching dev team, but even if you think he’s just an okay multi-inning pen arm this feels like a light return.
Always sort of liked him as a prospect and god knows he’s probably throwing 20 good inning for Milwaukee down the stretch.

I really should not go to Caputo’s while I’m hungry.
Facially Frasso/Vidourek isn’t a bad return for a reliever getting sent to Triple-A, but it’s more famous names than good prospects, and as much as I liked Vidourek out of the draft if the Dodgers are giving up on him a year later that tells you something.

For some reason in high school I saw Tomcats with my friends in a movie theater. But for slightly more real attempts at cinema, I fucking hated Bandits.

Seeing The Body tonight and can’t seem to find my good Fender ear plugs. This might be a problem.
Jarrett broached Hernandez as number one early on and I may have reacted like I was stabbed. That said I feel less great about the order of the top five than I usually do, and I think I would personally pref JDP (although as I researched/wrote I thought Willits had a strong case himself)
Chris Towers is Overreacting To Small Sample Sizes@cptowers.bsky.social · 3w agoKinda feels like Seth Hernandez is the best prospect in baseball right now, but you just can’t have a pitcher as the best prospect in baseball for obvious reasons (things fall apart for pitchers way too easily)
I don’t know that I’d say killing as they have some stock down guys too and I didn’t love their draft, but they’ve definitely had some success with athletic guys that hit the ball hard or have a lot of arm speed.

Doyle is more of a Jarrett guy, but the short of it is he got his fastball back to where it was in college recently and has started to show more facility with his breakers. He has also looked better when not pitching in Springfield.
