On a Metroid high right now, playing this. Very fun! Just learned it was based on the NES first one. Stuck at an annoying boss tho. I played Metroid fusion but that was years ago so I’ll get to that next
I do hope the successes of backrooms obsession etc etc will make it so I stop hearing people tell me "horror/darker tones don't sell" but I suspect it won't...
oh er, I am told I'll be cohosting a panel at lightbox this year with some bigger artists than me, wish me luck
Weirdly struggling to think of other things to see in LA while at lightbox...I've only seen Pasadena both times I went before, never had time to see the rest of the city, what do you recommend? Won't have a car (I know) So far just planning for the lucas narritive museam and gallery nucleus
I finally tried the cry raid in Marathon with all the free sponsored cryo kits I’ve accumulated. Three runs, all with 2 friendly randos helping me out, we survive all the fights and make it out. I have more credits than I ever thought I’d have, I am spoiled.
Wishing the best for @compulsiongames.bsky.social with going back to indie, had many coworkers and colleagues working there from my time in Montreal years ago. Also hoping the sale of @ninjatheory.com goes smoothly, did a bunch of cool stuff for Senua last year I hope we get to show someday.
Austin powers is retiring and they’re on the search for the next generation of super spy. A bunch of Austin Powers dopplegangers from each nation (with stereotypical features, the French one has a beret, Spanish one a guitar etc) show up to compete in a battle royal competition to compete for the…
Starfox has me on an on-rails-schmup high. Tried Sin and Punishment on switch but the controls were too awkward (I’ll have to tweak the but can’t be bothered) it’s a shame this genre doesn’t have too many bangers. Trying panzer dragoon on steam, really cool Moebius art style, a bit rough tho

People always say I have small hands, here is a normal sized pencil
I want to try to get back into animation a little bit. I knew some after effects but this was 15+ years ago...how is it to use now/is there something better? I use photoshop mostly so dreams is out I guess. Interested in Ebsynth, but if these programs use any genAI I have 0 interest and will avoid.
Made a little poster/flyer for the no ai protest coming up June 27th. Had a lot of fun drawing all the little guys in the crowd ☺️ #noai
David Hockney passed away today. Of all his work, I think this was my favourite, which he drew (I think) on one of the earliest ipads in 2010
"We already live in a world where you walk outside and there are billboards and signs that are obvious AI slop. That’s become part of our visual reality. To me, generative AI feels less like innovation than a symptom of a broader cultural and economic rot." King. 🙏
With a record-breaking A24 directorial debut under his belt at age 20, Kane Parsons doesn't see a place for AI in Hollywood's future.
People always say I have large hands, here’s me with a normal Tabasco bottle
Gen atlas looks neat looking forward to playing that in 8 years! I don’t know if I have the patience to wade thru another FF remake tho
as david lynch once said "the prologue is available to download for free on the epic games store"
Very happy to see them announce new cupheads, was late to playing it but really enjoyed it!
And now, for a special bulletin from Studio MDHR! www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFso...
It was out when I was 12 so I fully accept that it's mostly nostalgia but always found TPM to be my favourite. I know we later demanded everything fit back into OT aesthetic, but I miss the "wonder" that's what SW was to me, less about visual bibles/rules. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR2y...

Kinda surreal to see the new Wolverine takes place in a bizarro scruffed up version of the industrial zone/sulfur pile in North Vancouver.
