I keep thinking how the people of TX are still paying up to 10% surcharges on their electricity bills—many for years yet—for the 6 day freeze energy emergency in 2021, due to government’s deference to profits. I know b/c I wrote the plan for the PUC in 2011 that would’ve avoided the mess—if used.

I realize this is risky for Gabe, but if more Staff would be candid about the way their (former) bosses operate, we’d have more transparency into our government. Officials shouldn’t be doing shady things Staff should feel they should hide.

I spoke to class of 25 great college students yesterday. I asked how many read a newspaper? No hands. Television? CNN? No hands. All said they got their news from social media. On my way out I asked another group if anyone was from RI. I asked who’s your governor? Response? “Whitehouse and Reed.”
