Science is squeezed from both ends. Grant funding is being withheld, and at the same time our operating expenses are increasing dramatically because of tariffs.

Last week St. Mary's University hosted the 2025 Research Showcase. Students from my group shared their projects on microplastic toxicity with posters and oral presentations. They have accomplished so much and it was great to see them shine. THIS is what scientists look like!
