The trouble with being a British trans person now is that you are being segregated against your will while all the normal push back routes of a democracy are being actively denied to you. When people are treated like that, they find other ways to resist, and this worries me.

UK got the vaccine end of the 70s, so I was probably in the last few to get measles in childhood. I have never been sicker. I didn't know anyone who died of it and it wasn't one of "Those things that kill people". Doesn't mean kids didn't die though. You gotta look beyond your own experience.

"When I was a kid, nobody died of measles." Yes, because WE GAVE EVERYONE A VACCINE TO PREVENT DEATHS FROM MEASLES.

The Tonia Antoniazzi who is the member for Gower and scared her mother might see a trans person in hospital is the same Tonia Antoniazzi who is the subject of this Guardian article about cranks spreading 5G conspiracy theories. You couldn't make it up. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

How baseless fears over 5G rollout created a health scare

Misconceptions about the technology and lack of consultation with local communities may have boosted conspiracy theories

Lying in bed thinking about UK segregated bathrooms, and wondering how we'll eventually walk back from this. I'm guessing it will come as part of EU re-entry, and they'll have to be dragged kicking and screaming into it. So a decade or more of this. How are we going to make that happen?

Terfs are quiet at the moment, a significant lull in the volume of news stories about trans people coming through in my corpus feed. This usually means they have some big story brewing, so stay safe everyone.

Just a reminder and to hang up my shingle, I can create network graphs for any online visible network. Anything: your local tech cluster, your target market, your professional field, or a subset of politics like the one the screen grab below is just a very small part of. Linked data and GraphML.

I'm just going to leave this here, it's a network graph showing Mary-Ann's connections in the gender-critical world. Given that she's already deeply embedded in anti-trans activity, it's difficult to judge her on anything but that.
