My VENOM HARDASS crisis management meeting has resulted in an aggressive plea for vendors to voluntarily dampen down the intensity of aniseed balls if they so wish

Somewhere around 0.5% of the population is trans. But I am willing to bet that 0% of the people Andy Burnham meets in his listening-to-people-really-hard tour of Britain will be trans.
New outdoor gym nearby. This could be a game changer, because I can use this without having to use any changing rooms or be scrutinized as I struggle with it and myself. There’s no way I would ever go to a conventional gym.
Somehow my local small town cinema is having a preview screening of Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma next Monday so I grabbed tickets - brilliant!
Holding WorldPride in a country with a trans bathroom ban is a bad idea
WorldPride would bring visitors, celebration and opportunity to London. But that's not why I'm backing our bid. For me, it's about the message it sends: that everyone deserves the freedom to be themselves, and that our diversity remains one of London's greatest strengths.
I see laughing about “transgender mice” is back and I think if you’re doing that you are just assenting to the framing that research into improving gender affirming care is inherently worthless and mockable
This is a 100% correct + important point - the intent behind “transgender mice” is to mock, target and systematically shut down research that could benefit trans people. To make the idea of that a joke. We need to push back on the framing, not just buy in and scoff at confabulations of stupidity.
Ah, John Crowley has died. He was an incredible writer, “Little, Big” is one of those books that never leaves you, it just echoes round the mind over and over and over again.
Yep, “we’re screwed,” says Trump’s former White House lawyer Ty Cobb, when asked if Trump’s new Attorney General Todd Blanche will attempt to discredit midterm election results. Watch the full conversation: zeteo.com/p/ty-cobb-mu...
The distinction between cisgender and transgender women that the Supreme Court insisted on is a distinction without a difference. There’s no physical differences that can be used to tell the groups apart; there’s no documentation differences that can be relied on. Their construct is phantasmal.
Important to note that just because something is delivered for women doesn’t mean it was designed as a “single sex” service That has a very vague yet highly technical meaning, in which justification has to be premised on hallucinatory “biology” that the Supreme Court posited but didn’t elucidate
Note the sleight of hand, “stay” single sex. They’re the ones who want to change how it operates. The rest of us will be perfectly happy for it to stay how it has been for the last decade plus
Labour are shameless and/or clueless, episode 454809226
1972. 2012. 2032? London's first Pride march. WorldPride in our city. Now I'm backing a bid to bring the world back to London in 2032, marking 60 years of Pride and inviting LGBTQIA+ creatives to help shape it from day one.
Yvette Cooper saying that "the law's the law" as though she's shackled by the crushing weight of historical prejudice that can never be surmounted, rather than being a senior minister in a government with ample room to change it. It's your choice to be this much of a colossal shit, Yvette.
youtu.be/XMoAYFaCuYc?... I realise I didn’t share the link - watch here
Yvette Cooper confirming that NHS guidance is coming forth shortly banning trans people from single sex wards. She waffles about ‘alternative provision’ but let’s be realistic here, this will massively massively disadvantage trans people’s care. Fuck Andy Burnham
This seems esp relevant while folks talking about Stock busting out "social contagion" in relation to disability. It's definitely not a new thing for bigots to do. transsafety.network/posts/simon-...
Simon Wessely’s history of discrediting sick and disabled people could be bad news for trans health research priorities.
Psychiatrist Simon Wessely has been appointed to chair the National Children and Young People’s Gender Dysphoria Research Oversight Board. TSN outline our concerns about this appointment.

Fuck the EHRC, fuck Labour, fuck the Supreme Court, and fuck everybody else that made it happen or stood by and did nothing
Ben Goldacre was right. Andrew Wakefield’s legacy is alive and well. The Cass review is based on flawed science and has been widely criticised, yet it has been kept alive by the media. Curiously, the leading voice in Bad Science has been completely silent about it.
