Somewhere around 0.5% of the population is trans. But I am willing to bet that 0% of the people Andy Burnham meets in his listening-to-people-really-hard tour of Britain will be trans.

New outdoor gym nearby. This could be a game changer, because I can use this without having to use any changing rooms or be scrutinized as I struggle with it and myself. There’s no way I would ever go to a conventional gym.

Outdoor gym equipment in a field, with a hill in the background. Sunny weather.

Ah, John Crowley has died. He was an incredible writer, “Little, Big” is one of those books that never leaves you, it just echoes round the mind over and over and over again.

Yep, “we’re screwed,” says Trump’s former White House lawyer Ty Cobb, when asked if Trump’s new Attorney General Todd Blanche will attempt to discredit midterm election results. Watch the full conversation: zeteo.com/p/ty-cobb-mu...

The distinction between cisgender and transgender women that the Supreme Court insisted on is a distinction without a difference. There’s no physical differences that can be used to tell the groups apart; there’s no documentation differences that can be relied on. Their construct is phantasmal.

Important to note that just because something is delivered for women doesn’t mean it was designed as a “single sex” service That has a very vague yet highly technical meaning, in which justification has to be premised on hallucinatory “biology” that the Supreme Court posited but didn’t elucidate

Note the sleight of hand, “stay” single sex. They’re the ones who want to change how it operates. The rest of us will be perfectly happy for it to stay how it has been for the last decade plus

Yvette Cooper confirming that NHS guidance is coming forth shortly banning trans people from single sex wards. She waffles about ‘alternative provision’ but let’s be realistic here, this will massively massively disadvantage trans people’s care. Fuck Andy Burnham

We understand that today will be difficult for members of the Trans+ community and their loved ones as a result of the EHRC Code of Practice becoming law. Our service is free, confidential, and available to all. From 10am to 10pm, you are welcome to contact us on phone, chat, or email.

Ben Goldacre was right. Andrew Wakefield’s legacy is alive and well. The Cass review is based on flawed science and has been widely criticised, yet it has been kept alive by the media. Curiously, the leading voice in Bad Science has been completely silent about it.

Screenshot of Ben Goldacre’s story in The Guardian from 2007:

“The MIMR scare has now petered out. It would be nice if we could say this was because the media had learned their lessons and recognised the importance of scientific evidence, rather than one bloke's hunch.
Instead it has terminated because of the unethical behaviour of one man, Andrew Wakefield, which undermined the emotional narrative of their story.
The media have developed no insight into their own role - and for this reason there will be another
MMR.”
