Hello #DigiPres! Can anyone help with this question we received from a DPC member? "What power supply cable would be compatible with an old Tableau Forensic USB Bridge T8-R2? The specs for this old model give 'TP7 and TP2', but I cannot find either product online."

Happy New Year everyone! Back at work after lovely couple of weeks off. Woke my brain up first thing with a cold and frosty early run with dog to see the sun rise. Since then, this morning has mostly been spent reminding myself about all the things I need to be cracking on with. Busy January!

Really pleased to have been able to contribute to this edited volume and talk about my 'career in ruins'! Thanks @mjdonnay.bsky.social and @amsichani.bsky.social for all your efforts!

📣 Really proud to announce the publication of Reframing Failure in Digital Scholarship, an #OpenAccess collection of essays co-edited with @amsichani.bsky.social and published by @uolpress.bsky.social that examines the role of failure in #DH and research more broadly @sas-news.bsky.social

Remembering James King of the Artists Rifles. My great great great uncle who was an organist in a church before signing up for WW1. Killed in action in 1917 aged 22, his body was never recovered but he is commemorated at Tyne Cot memorial in Belgium.

This looks very interesting - love the focus on risk management and sustainability - definitely need to take a closer look!

It is World Digital Preservation Day and I've come to work in the office for a change of scene. Here is a photo of the original version of the 'Happy World Digital Preservation Day' drawing which we have in our office here in York! #WDPD2025

Wonderful Danielle Taylor from Indiana University Library at #ipres2025 presenting the work of a @dpc-chat.digipres.club.ap.brid.gy task force chaired by our @wisealic.bsky.social. Together, we have developed a guide and toolkit for carbon footprint calculating. #WorldDigitalPreservationDay

Getting ready for a Digipres North's #wdpd #wdpd2025 special meeting. I love getting to hear what the community is up to, and listening to presentations and demos from colleagues around the region. Today we're getting to see how Explore York are introducing TeraCopy to their workflow.

Following on the theme of the messiness or digital records a great presentation from Sonia Ranade and Kirsten Arnold on the user-focused work they have been doing at The National Archives UK on re-envisaging their digital records transfer process #ipres2025

Really interested in the Fedora story shared by Rosalyn Metz at #iPRES2025. I knew bits of it (the challenge of migrating from version 3 to 4) but haven't heard it in full before. Lots of useful lessons to learn from this around the importance of community over technology.

Just attended a really fun virtual Birds of a Feather session at #ipres2025 with Sean Macmillan on digital preservation games. He says "Anyone can build a game". I've left feeling enthused and keen to give it a go! Not sure when I'm going to fit that in exactly...perhaps WDPD next year!
