Son sat his 11 plus this morning and as a well done gift, I got him a decorative gourd. He was very happy.
My plan worked: my son is now pretty good at Saros (it took him 3 goes to get to a very good level of play, what is this kid) and he's now helping me out with the bosses. I love that videogames are something that we enjoy a lot together; he really does appreciate them on so many levels.
I've been playing Saros (badly) for the last couple of months and just asked my 10 year old if he wanted a go. Is this a ruse for me to watch him get good at it and help me with the tricky parts? Maybe.

Has anyone used Shmup Creator at all here? My son is obsessed with Gradius at the moment and I've read some good things about it. He's really good with Doom Builder and while he's learning basic coding, he just wants to make a game! It sounds like the kind of thing I would have loved as a kid.

Been obsessed with Still Wakes The Deep on the PS5. Such a great game: creepy and sad and just fantastic.
