Nurses tend to talk about nursing using sentiment, struggle to explain the difference between lay and therapeutic care, registered and non registered nursing work #NurseSky

Third question - some of you have already mentioned that we can be seen as "doctors helpers". How do patients see us in this context? What about how our colleagues and managers see us? #NurseSky #SkyChat

I’d add Terry’s comments that the way nurses talk about nursing shapes the way nurses are viewed #NurseSky

That nursing is a vocation. I think I’ll scream at the next person who says that. It’s not a vocation, it’s a highly skilled profession, and language like that is used to justify low pay. #NurseSky
