Goals for today: 1. Finish my book so I can start my book club book (book club is in barely over a week whoops). Book is LOTE by Shola von Reinhold which is very weird and interesting but SO slow, 60 pages to go 2. Make a lot of progress in sewing my button-up shirt for sewing class

Ughhhh wtf I'm so tired of businesses and people I otherwise respect deciding to start a newsletter on Substack. (Just sent an email to Tatter asking them to reconsider where they host their new newsletter)

This weekend I sewed with a twin needle for the first time, finished reading a queer sci-fi retelling of Moby-Dick, went to an outdoor concert, walked around the Obama Center grounds, started volunteer training at the leather arts school, & bought a bunch of groceries to get me through the heat wave

Hi I never post but I’m trying to get in touch with a cyclist I saw get hit yesterday on Clark/lawrence. I have their bike and some witness phone numbers! (They gave me their number but their phone got fucked up) If you know someone named Chance who bikes could you put me in touch?

I don't know why I always do this to myself but I have 200 more pages to read in my book club book this weekend. (It's Disorientation by Elaine Hsieh Chou, it's fun and moving quickly, but it's 416 pages and for some reason I thought it was half that and timed my start date poorly)

My cat is lounging on the windowsill listening to birds, and I tried to pet him, but he put his paw on my arm to stop me and then...started petting my arm with his paw??

Hey lovelies, I need place to live starting July 1st! If you are in Portland or know anyone, please spread the word. I would like a 2 bedroom apt with an outdoor patio or garden, in North Portland or NE. I have a teenager and a cat. I am quiet, super clean, and will take care of any outdoor space.

Jealous of my friends taking the Tatter hand-sewn t-shirt class this month (it's a great class, I took it before) so I've decided to finally sew a t-shirt from the pattern I drafted FOUR YEARS AGO, let's see if I can keep pace with the class while working on my own from notes from way back when.
