We were doing a #POTA last week, my wife paper logging, I'm using an app. She's confirming this one contact. I was shocked. Showed the phone, she was shocked! It was dear friend(s) we lost contact with over 25 years ago. They were shocked! Decades before any of us were licensed! #AmateurRadio

Even though we disagreed on much, he was always willing to negotiate, with humor and wit. My heart goes out to his loved ones.
I remember the luxury of my first Thomas Guide. Such a step up from the folded maps...National, State, Regional, Local... And the Map Rack in gas stations, hunting for the map you'll need later... "Which road will we be on?"
