John Boozman (Arkansas) was chairing the Ag Committee and tried to "cast a proxy vote" for Mitch McConnell (as well as absent Tuberville), to forward a 5-Year Farm Bill to the floor that includes SNAP state cost-sharing that Dems want delayed 2 years. It failed because no proxy votes are allowed.
1/ The staffers writing your next AI law got flown around by three different corporate funded groups in three months. One of them is run by the same fundraisers raising money for Senate Democrats. This is not a conspiracy theory. It is public record. 🧵 #DV1 #ProudBlue #Voices4Victory #USDemocracy
Subscribers to Trump’s insider trading app may be paying $100,000 a month for market moving info. Or they don’t even want the info and are just paying him a monthly bribe or protection racket payoff to be left alone. Either way, it’s all just blatant corruption every single day.
I hate when they get really attractive women in tight, revealing dresses to unveil cars. Just the whole idea that a man should own a nice car and an attractive woman annoys me. It just objectifies women, and it's a tradition that needs to be KILLED.
Social Security has been America’s most effective anti-poverty program since 1935. Last year, it lifted 23.5 million people out of poverty, including 16.5 million seniors. Remember this when Republican leaders suggest raising the retirement age or cutting your benefits.

Local news stories cover large companies negotiating with local governments to open new operations. They almost always mention “tax exemptions” as an enticement. Meanwhile our roads deteriorate, local services wither away, and homeless people everywhere. It’s unsustainable.
Sentenced to 100 yrs for belonging to a group that doesn't exist is why Texans will NEVER EVER LET YOU FUCKS WHO SAY "IM MAGA" HAVE POWER AGAIN POWER TO THE PPL 100 YRS FOR THE JUDGE WHO CALLED THIS JUSTICE FUCK THE TEXAS GESTAPO & THEIR GODDAMN LIES
The R's have been doing this for decades, at least back to Reagan. A slow, steady drip of "America First"; a propaganda of fear mongering laced with religion and so-called patriotism.
Grandchildren are great. So unlike their asshole parents, whose every fault we know so well. 😂
That’s how we got my mom to stop driving. Her beloved grandson went to college several states away and needed a car, so she gave hers to him with pleasure. She didn’t miss driving at all, as it turned out.
You have a lovely grandpa. My mom gave up her license voluntarily. I will follow her example when the time comes. Moved to a town where everything is in walking distance and has a bus to a larger center and back. One dude uses his lawn mower to get around,
So when I say freedom is beautiful, I mean that the end result of God's liberation is a world of beauty and flourishing — a world with no more suffering and no more separation from our ancestors. No more for-profit incarceration.
Dr. April Lockley of New York is medical director of the Miscarriage+Abortion Hotline. "The biggest thing that’s changed [since Dobbs] … is that people are afraid. They’re afraid to be pregnant, to have anything about pregnancy on their medical record. They’re afraid to access miscarriage care.”

I have been in my fair share of public meetings where we ask how many people have a family elder who should 100% not be driving anymore, and almost everyone raises their hands. Driving when impaired is super stressful, which is the opposite of managing cortisol and inflammation as we age. #Motordom
We told Grandpa, who was too old to drive safely, that his granddaughter (who had just had a baby) really needed a car and was especially attached to HIS car, but was too embarrassed to ask for it. He gave up the keys right away.
Great win-win. We did something similar. Makes it graceful for gramps.

In the past, the rich used to pay higher taxes. Now, the government pays the rich interest on a swelling debt, caused largely by lower taxes on the rich. It's a big switcheroo that we need to talk about if we're going to talk about the national debt.
The Secret Way the Rich are Getting Richer
The biggest untold story about how we pay for government involves a big switcheroo by America’s wealthy. Watch.

This is pretty much how we got my mom to stop driving. We told her a family member needed her car.
If this country was truly "pro-life", we would have universal healthcare.
We did something similar with my dad. My brother’s family adopted a daughter and she was his favorite. We indicated she could use the car. He was thrilled at the solution. Grandparents will do anything for their grandchildren.
