Writing is hard sometimes. But then I remind myself that fighting a chimpanzee is also hard but writing won't rip my face off which makes it much easier.
The Weight feels like the sort of movie I don't see often lately. There's a ready comparison to be made with films like Sorcerer, but it's also just fun to see movies feel this way in 2026.
I love living in a time where I can make a sandwich while wondering if every single ingredient will kill me. /sarcasm/ Gotta love all these recalls.
Coyote vs Acme is both an absolute delight and a remarkably timely film about refusing to let big companies have the final word. It's entirely worth seeing as soon as possible

I think I need to buy a new bookshelf. And then fill it, of course.
96000 words and there's more work to be done, but I don't think I'll ever get tired of this feeling.
If Puppeteers for Fears ever comes through your city on tour, be sure to go. Who doesn't need a musical puppet show about the robot apocalypse in their life?
Casting Jon Bernthal is one of the best things Marvel has ever done for their film and television
This Publishers Weekly article from Jan. goes into more detail. It's not that they are TRYING to sell our work for training, it's that those companies are placing orders with booksellers and distributors. Most sellers aren't giving us the option Ingram is. www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/...

Man, I love theater. And the Hadestown proshot is gorgeous. The show is incredible live but this is such a lovely way to revisit and for more people to experience it.

What if we just... didn't try to vilify libraries again. Support libraries. Support writers. Fight unchecked billionaires and their evil corporations
You all-- I never thought I'd see the day, but library peeps, strap in for a fight. The Author's Guild is going after us as the reason why authors are making less money. I don't think they understand who they are dealing with: www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/...
Finally watching The Northman which is my last Eggers movie to date. Eggers is a great director, but also give Jarin Blaschke all the accolades for the incredible visual style of these films.
Just watched the Backrooms movie. The sketch comedians and YouTubers continue to deliver in feature length horror. Just goes to show the talent that indie creators continue to bring to the conversation.
Meeting a rideshare at the airport is a game I am not good at. "Can you pick a Kia out of this shuffling lineup?" No. No, I cannot.
