I don't know much about the price of coke in Ireland these days, but if the same rules of exaggeration that the media and Gardaí apply to cannabis also apply to cocaine, then I assume someone was caught with a couple of wraps in their wallet...

Just back from seeing #TheOdyssey *straps on armour* *tests weight of sword* *prepares to wade into The Discourse* nah, I'm not doing that. What I will say is it's easily my favourite Christopher Nolan film. Those who know me know I'm not much of a Nolan fan, so don't take that as gushing praise

UEFA should ratchet up the pressure beyond this and propose holding the Euros every 2 years instead of 4. Every 2nd Euros will have slots available to non-UEFA nations and the other associations are free to hold tournaments to qualify for those slots if they choose. Something like that anyway.

Never encountered one of these arseholes on a plane, but repeated chants of "All Hail Satan!" tends to disconcert them when they approach you on the street (they take that stuff very seriously, y'know). I'd like to think I could encourage a few others in the seats around me to join in.

As I've said before, I wouldn't be a massive Christopher Nolan fan, but herself wants to see The Odyssey, so it looks like I'll be seeing it this weekend after all. Which is grand, I'm certainly curious, and my slightly lower than usual expectations may work in the film's favour.
I wish the UK and USA would sort out their politics and start acting in a vaguely sane manner. They make our lot over here look half-sensible by comparison. And they really *aren't*.
From time to time I toy with the idea of organising a conference composed entirely of tea, coffee and lunch breaks.

OK, so something's bugging me about the Neuromancer trailer. IMDb says Mark Strong plays Armitage. And based on glimpses in the trailer, it's definitely Mark Strong on screen. But I'm almost certain it's Lance Henriksen's voice (but IMDb says he's *not* in it). Am I going mad?
